Delta-9-tétrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC)

THC is the best-known psychotropic cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. Hemp seeds are obtained from industrial Cannabis sativa (an authorised variety with a THC content of less than 0.3%) and used as such or in the form of oil or flour. However, the seeds (which do not contain cannabinoids) may be contaminated during harvesting by cannabinoids secreted from the flowering tops.
