Migration of melamine

Melamine is a chemical compound generally used in the manufacture of plastic materials, can linings, pales per and cardboard. In Europe, the use of melamine is regulated for the manufacture of plastic materials and articles. 

Melamine can have harmful effects on the kidneys. The kidneys are damaged by the formation of crystals consisting of complexes of melamine and cyanuric acid.
